Juan Carlos Arias Duque, Director of Transitional Justice.
He received a law degree. He is philosopher and psychologist and he majored in criminal law, Human Rights. He has a master’s degree in procedural law.
He led the pilot program at the Dirección Nacional de Defensoría Pública for the implementation of the Accusatory Criminal System. He also worked as magistrado auxiliar of justice and peace to the Supreme Court of Justice and to the Special Jurisdiction for Peace.
He has been a professor in several universities in areas such as transitional justice, criminal law and procedural law.
