The Office of the Attorney General with support of the National Police arrested two people who allegedly participated in the murder of Guillermo Garzón, a LGBT leader and activist member.
According to prosecutor and Deputy Assistant´s adviser, Iván Lombana, the arrested people will be charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and criminal conspiracy. He also stated that one of the aggravating circumstances that will be taken into consideration in the murder will be the fact that this action was inspired by sexual orientation causes. Lombana also stated that the Office of the Attorney General will argue before the competent judges that this murder was committed for causes of hate.
