He holds a Law Degree and a master’s degree in Administrative Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia. For several years he worked as a consultant and advocate in different areas of law. He was also professor on public procurement.

In 2012, he joined the Office of the Attorney General with the mission of creating and implementing the Policy for Prioritization of Situations and Cases as a methodology to make the institutional response to citizens more efficient. 

He held relevant positions within the institution such as the Directorate of Policies and Strategy, the Delegate Office against Organized Crime (He was a prosecutor in cases of national connotation related to corruption) and as legal advisor to the Deputy Attorney General’s Office.
