Luz Ángela Gómez Hermida. She earned a Law Degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia and she majored in Economic and Telecommunications Law from the same University. She holds a Master’s degree in International Protection of Human Rights, Public Policies, and Sustainability from the Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio. She also has diploma courses in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Human Rights in Europe, Israel, and Palestine, and State Contracting and Internal Audits. She is the author of publications about modernization by processes in the Comisión de Regulación de Agua Potable y Saneamiento Básico and about citizens participation as per agreement with the Veeduria Distrital.
Throughout her professional career, she has served as a teacher (for nine years); coordinator of postgraduate studies in Economic Law, and as an adviser on the evaluation process in the accreditation of the Faculty of Law of Universidad Externado de Colombia.
She has more than 29 years of experience in the public sector, where she held managerial positions such as general secretary, oversight coordinator, and administrative and financial director at the Personería in Bogotá; executive coordinator at the Commission Comisión de Regulación en Salud; CRES liquidator; advisor to the Technical Vice Ministry of the Ministry of Social Protection; executive coordinator in the Commission Comisión de Regulación de Agua Potable y Saneamiento; Head of the Legal Office, Internal Control and Human Resources Office in the Ministry of Information Technology, among other positions related to the profession.
