She earned a Law degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia, a Master degree in Economic Law, and she majored in Economic Law and Law of Competence at the same university.
She has more than 18 years of experience in the public sector exercising the fiscal and disciplinary control, legal defense and public management. Furthermore, she held executive positions such as interim departmental comptroller of Valle del Cauca, general secretary of the Departmental Comptroller’s Office of Valle del Cauca, the position of procuradora judicial for victims, position of contralora provincial of the Valle del Cauca for the Comptroller General’s Office and director of Legal Defense of the corporation known as Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca CAR.
Likewise, she was advisor to entities such as Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar ICBF (Colombian Institute of Family Welfare), insurance company known as Previsora Compañía de Seguros S.A., insurance company known as Positiva Compañía de Seguros S.A., and the so-called Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca CAR; as well as, member of the regional commission named Comisión de Moralización Regional de Valle del Cauca between 2010-2011 and its vice president between 2013-2014.
