Claudia Argenis Linares Prieto, Director of Public Policies and Strategy
She is Economist from Universidad Externado de Colombia, and she majored in Economics of Public Sector at Instituto Nacional de Administración Pública – Universidad Alcalá de Henares (Spain), and she holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University (San Francisco).
With more than 30 years of experience in the public sector, she contributed to the development of research projects in Human Rights, health economics, education, and justice in Colombia and the United States.
She worked as researcher of population economics and life cycle at the Center for Population Economics of the University of Chicago, and in Health Economics at the Department of Public Health in the University of Virginia. She contributed to writing books and articles published in indexed international journals.
She worked at Universidad a Distancia. She worked as specialized professional at the Comptroller General´s Office in the Tax Analysis Group; and at Banco de la República in the Department of Economic Investigations. She was Director of the Planning Office at Banco Central Hipotecario and advisor to the Subsecretariat of Management of the District´s Secretariat of Education.
She served as Deputy Director of Support to Legal Services at the National Agency for Legal Defense of the State, and Acting Director of the Directorate of Policies and Strategies, Director of the Center for Tax Studies of the General Comptroller´s Office, Head of the Office for Knowledge Management of the Missing Persons Search Unit, Director of Monitoring, Evaluation and Control of the General Royalties System at the National Planning Department, and Delegate Ombudsperson for Transitional Justice and the Defense of the Right to Peace at the Ombudsman’s Office in Colombia.
