Natalia Farfán Leaño, Director – Higher Studies Office.

She is an economist who graduated from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. She holds a master´s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain).

She has over 20 years of experience in the private sector, leading some purchase and compliance teams to build long-term relationships with different areas of the business by implementing negotiation, contracting, and supplier management strategies. She is an expert in providing solutions to users within the framework of corporate policies, specifically in multinationals of mass consumption and technology sectors.

In her professional career, she held various positions in the private sector, in companies such as Kodak, British American Tobacco, and Microsoft. She worked in Microsoft for 13 years as Procurement Manager for LATAM leading strategic projects such as the Sustainability Implementation Project for Latin American Suppliers (Proyecto de implementación de Sostenibilidad para Proveedores de Latinoamérica – in spanish). She, together with the Control and Compliance Department, created the standardization of processes and implementation of tools to reduce the risks associated with budget management and supplier management.

This year, she was part of the advisory team for the Office of the Attorney General working closely with the Technical Investigation Corps (Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación (CTI) in Spanish) on projects for digital transformation and technological renovation.
