She holds a Law degree from Universidad Autónoma de Colombia. She majored in Criminal Law and Forensic Sciences at Universidad Católica de Colombia, and in Environmental Law at Universidad INCCA de Colombia.
Likewise, she joined the Attorney General’s Office in 1992 and served as judicial assistant at the Unit of Delegate Prosecutors to Criminal Circuit Judges. During her extensive institutional experience, she has served as local prosecutor, and as specialized acting prosecutor and in tenured position for the branch offices in Medellín and Bogotá, as well as the Specialized Directorate against Computer Crimes.
In the last six years, she has held the position of prosecutor appointed to the Support Structure (Estructura de Apoyo EDA) in which she led high-impact operations against drug trafficking, crimes against public administration and other criminal phenomena.
