Former mayor in Ovejas (Sucre), Edwin Mussy Restom, was sent to a prison in Corozal (Sucre) for aggravated involuntary manslaughter, non-assistance to a person, concealment of evidence.

The facts by which the former mayor is investigated occurred on October 12, 2014 when he mowed down with his car a 16-year-old woman who was riding a bike, Rosa Marcela Paternina Ulloa and then he run away.  The event occurred near La Esperanza cementery, El Rebombeo sector in Sicelejo (Sucre).
