The defendant is recognized for his work as a creator of digital content on a website and on different social networks.
The Attorney General’s Office brought Cristian Fabián Altamirano Oñate, alias El Soldado, before a judge in Jamundí (Valle del Cauca) as the alleged person responsible for the crimes of homicide and illegal possession of firearms or ammunition, both aggravated conduct. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
According to the investigation, the defendant arrived in a vehicle at a bakery in the so-called Bonanza neighborhood, in Jamundí on July 21, 2024 where, it is believed, he shot multiple times at a 20-year-old person who died as a result of the attack. Once he committed the crime, he got into the vehicle and fled.
The evidence collected by the Office of the Attorney General proved that the vehicle, in which the attacker was moving, was near the scene moments before and after the attack. The identity of the alleged suspect was also established, and therefore his arrest was requested.
Alias El Soldado was arrested on January 21st by the National Police by virtue of a court order during a home search carried out at a home in Bonanza neighborhood.
The defendant must serve a prison sentence according to the judge’s decision.
