A prosecutor from the so-called Unidad de Reacción Inmediata (Immediate Reaction Unit (URI)) in Pereira charged Álvaro Achipiz Iquira, Wilmer Dionisio Dorado Martínez and Jhonier Santiago Ortiz Jiménez with trafficking, manufacture or aggravated possession of drugs.
On August 12, in the ‘Y’ sector, on the way to Andalucía, National Police officers carried out an inspection of an intercity bus on the way Ipiales – Medellín.
It was determined that the suspects had boarded the vehicle in the same city, apparently carrying around 3 kilos of cocaine camouflaged in bags that were stuck to rolled-up mats in each luggage, for a total of 9 kilos.
At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, a judge sent the suspects to prison.
