The evidence presented by a prosecutor assigned to the Sectional Office in  Magdalena allowed a judge to impose a prison sentence  on Brayan de Jesús Luna Hernández, alias El Viejo.

As it was determined, the defendant was arrested by the National Police on January 23 when; for no apparent reason, he fled, while the authorities carried out a raid on a home located in María Eugenia neighborhood in Santa Marta.

Apparently, alias El Viejo, upon noticing the presence of the officers, decided to run away while shooting at the police officers. After his arrest, the officers managed to identify the man as an alleged member of the Clan del Golfo criminal organization.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendant with aggravated trafficking, manufacturing or possession of firearms, accessories, parts and/or ammunition. He did not plead guilty.
