The Attorney General’s Office brought Fernando José Viloria Talaigua before a judge. He was allegedly part of the financial component of the Carlos Vásquez substructure of the ‘Clan del Golfo’.
The evidence shows that he is allegedly responsible for collecting money from extortions to merchants, ranchers, and transporters in Urabá Antioquia. Likewise, he allegedly participated in threats against inhabitants of the region to force them to stop their economic activities after the extradition of Dairo Antonio Úsuga David, alias Otoniel.
Viloria Talaigua was arrested by the National Police in Carepa (Antioquia). A prosecutor from the Special Directorate against Criminal Organizations charged him with aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime. The defendant must serve a prison sentence.
