A prosecutor from the Unit (Unidad de Reacción Inmediata URI) of the Sectional Office in Caldas brought Oswaldo Andrés Jaramillo Sánchez before justice for the crime of homicide after being arrested by the National Police and being accused of murdering César Augusto Valencia Zapata with a knife in facts that occurred in Salamina (Caldas).
The witness’ statements revealed that the victim was in a public establishment in Salamina, where the accused arrived and apparently threatened Valencia Zapata with murder.
According to the investigation, the victim left the establishment and Jaramillo Sánchez allegedly wounded the victim three times with a knife and collapsed when he came back to the establishment.
According to witnesses, while Valencia Zapata was transferred to a hospital, the man involved in the fact fled from the place to his house where Police officers arrived and arrested him.
The detainee must remain under house arrest.
