As part of the agreement between the Office of the Attorney General and the United States Marshal Service- U.S Department of Justice to cooperate and track international fugitives, the members on the technical investigative corps (Cuerpo Técnico de investigación CTI) located Daron Odell Jones who is wanted by the authorities of that country for violation of his probation.
This US citizen was arrested as he was the leader of a drug trafficking network that brought several shipments of cocaine into his country and had links with Mexican drug cartels. Since he decided to cooperate with justice and to hand over several of his properties such as luxurious vehicles, jewelry and mansions in the north area of Houston, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama sentenced him to 13 years in prison in March 2019.
In mid-2019, Daron Odell Jones served 80% of the sentence and received probation. This benefit was violated since the convicted person escaped from his country with a false passport of the United Kingdom and frequented destinations such as Panama, Mexico, and England in recent months.
