The Criminal Investigation Team (CTI) from the Office of the Attorney General supported by the so-called Gaula (Army) arrested eight people who were accused of demanding between $70.000 and $96.000 pesos to job seekers. About 72 complaints were filed against them in Meta.
Due to massive reports, the Office of the Attorney General discovered alleged members of an organization that defrauded more than 2.500 job seekers by offering them fake job opportunities that were published in internet between 2012 and 2017.
The branch office in Meta received 72 complaints ‘denuncias’ of unwary people who saw these job opportunities in social networks or web pages exclusively created to publish these alleged job offers and after contacting these front companies that were supposedly to hire them, they had to transfer between 70.000 and $96.000 for medical examinations and certificates.
