The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted two men, allegedly responsible for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing, or drug possession, who were allegedly found in possession of nearly 133 kilos of marijuana.
Walther Parra Sánchez and Elidier Jaramillo Villamil were arrested on September 14 by the National Police while traveling on the road from Sevilla to Caicedonia (Valle del Cauca).
The investigation determined that the alleged suspects were requested for a routine inspection of their truck. In the vehicle, officers detected a hidden compartment under the floor, and within it, several packages of the substance were hidden.
The vehicle, the narcotics, and two cell phones were seized by authorities. Both men must serve their detention in prison by virtue of a court order.
