A prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Casanare achieved an exemplary sentence against Stiv Moreno Moreno, for being responsible for committing the crimes of aggravated homicide, aggravated  theft, manufacturing, trafficking and possession of firearms or ammunition.

The facts took place on February 24, 2014, when the defendant in the company of other people, arrived at the so-called farm La Alemania  located in the rural area of Tilodirán, in  Yopal (Casanare), where a store under the name of El Cabrestero was operating. The information that was obtained by the prosecutor´s Office allowed to establish that Moreno Moreno subdued the victims, tied the dead person´s husband and children by their hands and feet, and locked them up. He also threatened them with firearms and asked them for the money derived from sales. As they did not answered back, he shot the woman.

They stole some of the victims’ belongings, including a large sum of cash, cell phones, jewelry, and a motorcycle that was used to flee.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged him and thanks to the conclusive evidence provided by the prosecutor´s office, the judge accepted his request, and imposed a sentence of 39.5 years in prison, and ineligibility to hold office (public functions) for a term of 20 years.
