The Attorney General’s Office brought Jairo Gracia Ayala, 63, before justice in Sevilla (Valle del Cauca) and a local prosecutor charged him with aggravated femicide. He did not plead guilty to the charges.
The events under investigation took place on November 21, 2023, in a building at the so-called Porvenir neighborhood of Sevilla, where the defendant allegedly suffocated his sentimental partner to death.
The evidence provided by the Office of the Attorney General showed that the victim was defenseless in her bed when she was attacked.
Gracia Ayala was arrested by the National Police, who located him on a public street in the municipality of Restrepo (Valle del Cauca) on September 16th.
The defendant must serve a prison sentence by virtue of a court order.
