The defendants allegedly participated in an armed attack on a police station in Nátaga, in which two officers died.
At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence against two alleged members of the Hernando González Acosta front, of the Isaías Pardo Central Block of the Farc dissidents, who would be involved in the illegal detention of a female merchant in a rural area of La Plata, western area of Huila.
The people involved are Consuelo Chacue and José Marino Suns Liz, who were charged by a prosecutor in Gaula, according to their individual responsibility, with aggravated conspiracy to commit kidnapping for ransom; terrorism, homicide and illicit recruitment. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
According to the investigation, on September 11, 2024, the defendants allegedly arrived, aboard a vehicle, at the female merchant’s farm, located in Las Museñas area and forced her to get into the car headed for the rural area of San Luis in Páez (Cauca).
These criminals allegedly provided nine live proofs to the victim’s relatives, where they demanded the payment of 5.000 million COP, in exchange for not attempting against her life. The woman was released on October 10, after a large sum of money was paid.
The prosecuted men apparently also participated in the attack against the police station on October 10, 2024 in Nátaga (Huila) in which two officers died.
These people were arrested by the Gaula of the National Police by virtue of a court order, on a public road in La Plata.
