Gloria Patricia Peña Guegue would also be involved in the collection of money derived from extortion and drug trafficking.
After verifying the evidence and the arguments presented by the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Gloria Patricia Peña Guegue, alias La India or La Peque, as the alleged person responsible for kidnappings, homicides and other criminal conduct in Valle del Cauca.
The woman, alleged leader of the so-called Jacobo Arenas mobile column of FARC dissidents, was allegedly part of the armed group that held a young woman prisoner in the area known as El Placer, in Dagua (Valle del Cauca).
On June 18, 2022, the victim was taken against her will on the assumption that she was collaborating with other illegal armed structures. Two days later, her corpse was found abandoned on a rural road, near her residence. Later, the young woman’s family was forced to leave the region, amid death threats.
Alias La India or La Peque would also be involved in the collection of extortion and different quantities of money for allowing drug trafficking.
Therefore, a prosecutor appointed to Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations charged her with aggravated criminal conspiracy, aggravated homicide, aggravated kidnapping and forced displacement. She did not plead guilty to the charges.
