The victims were attacked with firearms by men who were riding a motorcycle.
The Attorney General’s Office obtained evidence that proves the alleged participation of Cristian David Herrera, alias Chino, in the murder of two brothers belonging to the Arhuaca ethnic group, on January 12, 2025, in the Santa Rosalía area of the so-called Zona Bananera (Magdalena).
In this sense, a prosecutor appointed to the Sectional Office in Magdalena brought him before a judge and charged him with aggravated homicide, and illegal manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearms, parts and ammunition. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges and must serve a prison sentence.
According to the investigation, alias Chino would be one of the two armed men who, on board a motorcycle, intercepted the victims at the exit of a commercial establishment and shot them until they died.
For these events, he was arrested in a joint operation with the National Police in San Pablo area, in Zona Bananera. In the procedure, a firearm that was allegedly used to carry out the action was seized.
