The Attorney General’s Office obtained a detention order in prison against Albeiro Antonio Rivera Lara, allegedly responsible for the murder of a  36-year-old woman.

The facts took place on January 26 on a farm located in Once Casas, rural area of Pueblo Tapao, in Montenegro (Quindío) where the defendant allegedly proposed the victim a romantic relationship.

It is believed that given the woman´s refusal, the man attacked her on multiple occasions with a sharp weapon, causing wounds and her subsequent death.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged Rivera with aggravated femicide but he did not plead guilty.
