The crime would be related to personal differences.

At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Edison Arley Posada Posada, alias Morcilla or Cucaracho, allegedly responsible for the murder of the professional cyclist Marlon Alirio Pérez Arango, which took place on October 3 in El Carmen de Viboral (Antioquia).

A prosecutor appointed to the Sectional Office in Antioquia charged this person with aggravated homicide, and he did not plead guilty.

The evidence indicates that the athlete spent time with the alleged aggressor in a commercial establishment. Later, they argued about a personal issue and left the store. While he was walking on the street, alias Morcilla or Cucaracho allegedly attacked him unexpectedly with a sharp weapon.

The victim was taken to a medical center, but he died due to an injury in the neck. For his part, the defendant escaped from the scene.

Posada Posada was arrested on October 13 in a joint operation with the National Police in El Carmen de Viboral.
