- The first fact took place on February 22 in a house located at the rural area of Pichindé in which there were four adults and 18-month-old baby. The victims were intimidated by men who, apparently, were in possession of firearms and robbed their belongings valued at 13 million COP. Due to these facts, Jaider Yesid Estrella Vele was arrested on May 10 by the National Police. The Attorney General´s Office charged him with aggravated theft.
- In another fact, the Prosecutor’s Office prosecuted Néstor Fabio Vásquez Mejía, who was part of a group of men who on May 21, 2021 violently entered a hair salon in Las Granjas neighborhood and allegedly intimidated the owner and clients. It is believed that the defendants stole cash, jewelry and other belongings valued at 11 million COP. The Office of the Attorney General charged him with aggravated theft.
In both cases the judges approved the Office of the Attorney General´s request and imposed prison sentences.
