At the request of the Special Prosecutor’s Office assigned to Gaula, a judge in Villavicencio ordered custodial sentences against six alleged members of the Clan del Golfo.
The alleged members of the Clan del Golfo were arrested in Meta.
The Office of the Attorney General charged four women and two men with alleged criminal conspiracy to threaten and extort residents of Meta and commercialize drugs in Meta.
The investigations carried out by personnel of the Gaula – Police allowed the identification, location, and arrest of the defendants in the framework of home searches procedures carried out in San Carlos de Guaroa, San Martín, and Villavicencio (Meta).
The defendants were brought before a court and the Attorney General’s Office charged them with alleged criminal conspiracy, displacement, and extortion. They did not plead guilty to the charges.
