The request made by a prosecutor from the so called Unidad de Vida was accepted by a judge and a measure of deprivation of liberty was issued against Carlos Alfredo Correa Villadiego, for his alleged responsibility in the crimes of aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking or possession of a firearm.
According to the investigation, the events took place on June 30, 2023, in a park located at the so called School House neighborhood in San Andrés Island, where the defendant, apparently, with a firearm shot a man causing his death after being in a healthcare center for sevral days.
According to the judicial police work, the crime was due to the fact that the victim had links with people from other neighborhoods, who were supposedly enemies of Correa Villadiego.
The alleged suspect who was arrested by court order on January 21, did not plead to the charges.
