According to the United States system, the athlete would be involved in shipping cocaine hydrochloride shipments through the Colombian Pacific.

The Attorney General’s Office managed to arrest Roland de la Cruz Biojó, a former professional soccer player accused of being part of a drug trafficking network who is accused of the shipment of several tons of cocaine hydrochloride along the coast of Nariño.

CTI investigators, with support of the National Army, located him in Colón park, in Tumaco (Nariño). The procedure was carried out in response to a request for extradition purposes submitted by a Court of the Eastern District of the State of Texas (United States), which requires this person on charges related to the manufacture and distribution of narcotics.

The international request states that the former Colombian soccer player, citizen of New Guinea, would be responsible for logistics that guaranteed illegal shipments to Central American countries in which their passage to the United States was coordinated.

The Directorate of International Affairs of the Prosecutor’s Office will process the documents to formally request the extradition, and initiate the administrative procedures provided for by law.
