As Laura Alejandra Rengifo Plaza, 20-year-old, was identified a woman as allegedly responsible for transporting more than 16 kilos of marijuana in her luggage, in the municipality of Tuluá (Valle del Cauca).
For these facts, the Attorney General’s Office charged the defendant with the crime of manufacturing, trafficking or possession of narcotics. A judge issued a prison sentence.
Rengifo Plaza was arrested in flagrante delicto by National Police officers whe se was transporting two large blocks inside a suitcase, apparently belonging to her. According to the preliminary chemical analysis it was marijuana, with a net weight of 16,313 grams.
