The evidence collected by the Prosecutor’s Office allowed a judge to send Absolón David Noriega Vizcaíno, alias El Barba, to prison. He is allegedly involved in the murder of a man who was dismembered and whose parts of the corpse were found in the Las Cayenas, Galán and Los Laureles in Barranquilla.

According to the investigation carried out by a prosecutor from the unit Unidad de Alertas Tempranas de Homicidios of the Sectional Office in Atlántico, the events occurred on June 5 in a hotel in the city where the detainee, in the company of other people, allegedly assaulted and tortured to the victim until death. Subsequently, the accused apparently filmed the subject’s dismemberment.

The investigation also established that alias El Barba would be a member of Los Rastrojos Costeños, a criminal organization involved in homicides, extortion, theft, and drug trafficking.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with the crimes of aggravated homicide, torture, simple kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and conspiracy to commit a crime for the purpose of homicide, extortion, and drug trafficking. He did not plead guilty.

The Prosecutor’s Office is investigating whether other people participated in this crime.
