The Office of the Attorney General, through the judicial police groups of the Delegate Office against Organized Crime, received information about a place located in the rural area of Buenaventura in which semi-submersibles were being built in order to be used for drug trafficking activities. 

The verifications were carried out in the Naya river, in a small town named Puerto Merizalde. Investigators of the Office of the Attorney General and troops of Batallion No. 2  of the National Army against Drug Trafficking (Batallón contra el Narcotráfico N°2 del Ejército Nacional ) found in the premise a shipyard, machinery, diesel engines, electric power plants, batteries, and a significant amount of diesel oil.
