The Office of the Attorney General and the National Police dismantled 22 criminal gangs that committed murders, theft, drug trafficking, and other crimes.

The prioritization of investigations about facts that affect tranquility and coexistence, the articulated work of the Office of the Attorney General through the Delegate Office on Public Safety and the Criminal Investigative Corps (Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación in Spanish CTI) with different specialized units of the National Police, allowed to carry out a judicial offensive against criminal structures engaged in illegal actions that affect Colombian citizens in the cities and municipalities of the country.

From July 7 to 14 (seven days), 96 home searches were carried out in the departments of Antioquia, Caldas, Caquetá, Risaralda, Nariño, Huila, Tolima, Quindío and Norte de Santander, and in the cities of Bogotá and Cali.

In the proceedings, 22 criminal organizations were dismantled and 157 people were arrested (108 for drug trafficking, 27 for theft, 15 for extortion, 4 for manufacturing and selling adulterated liquor, and 3 people for murder offenses). The supervisory judges issued custodial sentences against 133 of the defendants at the request of prosecutors hearing the case.
