At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a supervisory judge issued a detention measure with imprisonment against Israel Delgado Bayona, an alleged member of the Organized Armed Group (Grupo Armado Organizado GAO).
This person was arrested by the National Police in the main park of Tibú (Norte de Santander) in compliance with an arrest warrant against him for the crimes of conspiracy to commit crimes and extortion.
Facts took place on December 18, 2019 in the La Esperanza neighborhood in that municipality where the above mentioned criminal structure carried out an armed attack against two members of the Police.
According to the investigation, Delgado Bayona would be part of the so-called Juan Fernando Porras Martínez ELN Front which operates in the urban and rural area of Tibú.
