The 8th Prosecutor’s Office before the Supreme Court filed an indictment against former governor of Quindío Sandra Paola Hurtado Palacio (2012 – 2015) for her alleged participation in execution of contracts without compliance with legal requirements and misappropriation.
The evidence collected in the investigation would demonstrate that the former public servant would be involved in irregularities that were detected in the execution of contracts 001, 002, 003 and 004 of 2015 related to SID works.
Some of the inconsistencies would be related to the design and adjustment of bid specifications to favor consortiums of contractor José Carlos Vergara in exchange for commissions that would have amounted to 15% of the value of contracts. This illegal activity represented a detriment of $ 3,443’361,864 COP to the Department.
