The Office of the Attorney General charged Fernández Arroyo with alleged participation in a series of illegal wiretappings of businessmen, members of the aviators union (ACDAC) and lawyers.

A supervisory judge (juez de control de garantias) issued a home detention order for former DAS Intelligence Director, Laude José Fernández Arroyo, for alleged illegal wiretappings.

At the  hearing (audiencias concentradas)* the prosecutor of the case charged the defendant with aggravated criminal conspiracy, violation of personal data and illegal wiretapping. The defendant did no plead guilty to the charges.
