The alleged aggressor caused serious injuries to the victim with glass when he tried to throw her out of a window.

The Office of the Attorney General brought a man before a judge since he allegedly attempted against his former sentimental partner´s life on January 1, 2021, in the Rafael Uribe Uribe area of Bogotá.

The evidence shows that the man, in a state of inebriation, arrived at the victim’s house and insulted her. The woman tried to protect herself on the second floor of the property, but the alleged aggressor broke in.

The defendant apparently grabbed the woman by force and tried to throw her out of a window, causing injuries with the glass in several parts of her body. The victim was taken to a medical center where she survived. She had a sick leave letter of 55 days issued by Legal Institute of Medicine.

A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Bogotá (Seccional Bogotá) charged him with aggravated attempted femicide. During the ‘audiencias concentradas’ (many kinds of hearings held in one hearing) the defendant did not plead guilty to the charges and must serve a prison sentence.
