A prosecutor from the Immediate Reaction Unit of Ocaña (Norte de Santander) charged Yorman José Zaraza Santiago with trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics.
Zaraza Santiago was arrested on January 14 by National Police officers at a checkpoint on a road in Ocaña that leads to Convención. During the inspection of the motorcycle he was riding, officers found a package containing more than 2 kilograms of cocaine hidden under the seat.
The man did not plead guilty to the charges, and at the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a preventive detention measure in prison was imposed on him .
