At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge ordered a prison sentence against a 47-year-old man, allegedly responsible for the murder of his former sentimental partner on September 9th in a residential area of Acacías (Meta).
A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Meta (Seccional Meta) charged him with aggravated femicide. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charge.
According to the evidence collected by the Office of the Attorney General, in coordination with the National Police, the man allegedly arrived at the victim’s house located in La Independencia neighborhood, where he allegedly stabbed her in different parts of the body, causing her death.
The defendant had been tried and convicted in 2020 for domestic violence against the victim, who was living with him at the time and therefore, they separated.
