Due to the evidence provided by the Attorney General’s Office, a man admitted his responsibility for the crime of attempted aggravated femicide committed against his 30-year-old partner. 

During the hearings, the defendant signed a preliminary agreement with the Office of the Attorney General, which was approved by the judge in charge of the case. Therefore, the judge ordered 15 years and 5 months in prison. 

The facts took place on December 22, 2024, when the convicted man was found by National Police officers while trying to drown his partner in Guatiguara ravine, in La Mutisia area of Piedecuesta. 

The victim was taken to a hospital due to her injuries. Apparently, the cycles of violence had been reported for several months.
