At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on 11 alleged members of Saturno drug trafficking organization. The defendants are allegedly involved in petty drug dealing in schools and public streets in the municipality of Dosquebradas (Risaralda).
The evidence presented by the Office of the Attorney General showed that the criminal group was involved in the sale of heroin, bazuco, cocaine, and marijuana in the Guadualito and San Diego neighborhoods in Dosquebradas.
The drug trafficking network sold drugs to homeless people and minors. The defendants were identified as: Luis Alejandro Rodríguez Rodríguez, Edison Fabián Loaiza Londoño, Ricardo Rivera Ospina, Julio Daniel González Hernández, Juan Camilo Márquez Polanco, Francisco Javier Gallego Márquez, Harold Mauricio Pareja Díaz, José Manuel Muñoz Cano, Medardo Fabio Duran Moreno, Michael Jonathan Torres García and Santiago de Jesús Giraldo León.
A prosecutor appointed to the branch office of Risaralda Police Station charged them with criminal conspiracy to commit a crime and drug manufacturing, trafficking, and possession of narcotics, however they did not plead guilty to the charges.
