A supervisory judge accepted the request made by of the Attorney General and sent Ary Camayo, alias ‘El Viejo’ to prison. The defendant is the alleged head of finances of the organized group Jaime Martínez who was arrested in flagrante delicto in possession of firearms and explosive material for the exclusive use of the Military Forces in a rural area of ​​the municipality of Morales (Cauca). 

The facts which are under investigation took place on August 1, in a house located in rural area of Agua Sucia of the above mentioned municipality, in which members of the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) of the Office of the Attorney General  and Gaula (Army) arrested the defendant in flagrante delicto in possession of: 

.- 1 9mm caliber pistol 

.- 1 magazine 9mm caliber  

.- 1 Mini Uzi 

.- 1 magazine for Mini Uzi 

.- 250 cartridges caliber 5.56 

.- 30 cartridges caliber 9 mm 

.- 1 grenade 

.- 2 grenades 60 mm  

.- 3 rolls of detonating cord 

.- 2 pixelated uniforms  

In a hearing (audiencia concentrada)*, the Office of the Attorney General charged Ary Camayo with the manufacture, trafficking, and possession of firearms for the exclusive use of the Military Forces. 

According to the decision made by the judge, alias ‘El Viejo’, who did not plead guilty to the charges, must serve a prison sentence.
