At the request of a prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Santander (seccional Santander), a judge imposed a prison sentence on four alleged members of Tren de Aragua Búcaros criminal group.
The people allegedly involved are Sergio Pedraza, Iván Zambrano, Fabián Morales, and Reinel Salón, who were charged with possession of firearms for the exclusive use of Army, possession of firearms for personal use; and possession, manufacturing, and drug trafficking. None pleaded guilty to the charges.
The arrests were carried out by the National Police and during a search warrant at Luz de Salvación neighborhood in Santander.
During the operations, carried out in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office, two firearms, ammunition, narcotics, and two motorcycles were seized. The vehicles were seized for confiscation.
