The evidence presented by a prosecutor from the branch office in Sucre (Seccional Sucre) allowed a judge in Sincelejo to impose a prison sentence on Luis Fernando Licona Martelo, allegedly responsible for the crime of homicide and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts and ammunition.
Licona Martelo would be one of the members of the criminal gang ‘Los Caracuchos’ which commits crimes in said Department. This person was the one who allegedly attacked a victim on July 24, 2023 while he was outside a scrapyard in Tolú (Sucre).
According to testimonies in the Office of the Attorney General’s hands indicate that after committing the crime, the defendant allegedly fled on a motorcycle that was waiting for him.
The defendant, who is investigated for other crimes that took place in the region, was arrested on February 1st by the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) and Sijín officers of National Police.
