The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted seven alleged members of the criminal group known as Los Norteños for their alleged responsibility in the crimes of criminal conspiracy to commit a crime; trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics; and manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition.

A prosecutor appointed to the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the branch office in Tolima (Seccional Tolima) revealed that, since last January, “Los Norteños” were apparently storing and selling marijuana cigarettes (petty drug dealing) in Ibagué (Tolima).

The evidence indicates that the drugs were concealed in Las Delicias neighborhood, and the illicit activity extended to the areas of Ciruelos, Ambalá, and Ibagué 2000 in Comuna 6.

National Police officers carried out several search warrants at different locations of the city, and they arrested Jefferson González Ramírez, Santiago Coronado Méndez, Jorge Andrés Guevara Barragán, Jan Leonardo Carvajal Oyola, Jailer Alirio Cruz Pérez, Wilmer Andrey Torres Amaya y Keduim Estiven Guzmán Ramírez. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges brought by the Office of the Attorney General. 

During the operations, 10  cartridges (9mm), cocaine, synthetic substances, and cash were seized.

A judge ordered a prison sentence on the seven defendants.
