The Attorney General’s Office brought Juan Carlos Jaimes Díaz before a judge. He is the alleged member of Los Cabezones criminal group, and he would be involved in local drug trafficking in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
In this regard, a prosecutor charged him with aggravated criminal conspiracy and manufacturing, trafficking, and possession of narcotics. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges, and a judge sentenced him to prison.
According to the investigation, the defendant was allegedly responsible for coordinating the receipt of the narcotics from Catatumbo region, and subsequently storing, preparing doses, and distributing them.
The man was arrested by National Police officers in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander) pursuant to a court order.
This way, the Prosecutor’s Office has successfully prosecuted 10 alleged members of this criminal group, which was harming the most vulnerable population in the so-called comunas 8 and 9 of the metropolitan area of Norte de Santander.
