The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted a 17-year-old teenager for his alleged responsibility in murdering another minor in a fight that took place on February 26 in the south area of Bogotá.

The incident occurred in Los Naranjos neighborhood in Bosa, where both teenagers allegedly confronted each other in the middle of an act of intolerance.

In a dispute, the young man who is accused of committing the crime apparently attacked the 16-year-old victim from behind on several occasions, causing injuries to vital organs. Despite the medical attention, he died. In this regard, a prosecutor assigned to the so-called Unidad de Responsabilidad Penal para Adolescentes (Unit on Juvenile Criminal Liability) charged him with homicide. He did not plead guilty to the charges and a judge sent him to a juvenile detention center.
