The Attorney General’s Office brought five men to justice. In two independent cases, they allegedly participated in criminal actions involving two victims. The incidents took place in the municipalities of Guacarí and Tuluá (Valle del Cauca).

According to the evidence, the facts took place during disputes. In one case, one of the victims was attacked with a firearm, the other one was injured in the head.

In Guacarí, the Prosecutor’s Office charged Juan Diego Ramírez Montenegro, alias Ratón; Fabián Andrey Trejos Vargas, Walter de Jesús Moreno Vásquez and José Alexánder López Muñoz with aggravated homicide and illegal possession of firearms.

The incidents under investigation took place on February 16 during a dispute that caused one death. After the attackers run away, they were arrested by the National Police. During these actions, two firearms were seized from them.

In Tuluá, Luis Abrahán Ramírez Mazo was charged with attempted homicide. This person was arrested in fragrante during a fight in which one person was injured in the head.

In both cases, the judges accepted the request made by the Attorney General’s Office and imposed a prison sentence on the five individuals involved. None pleaded guilty to the charges.
