The evidence provided by a prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Risaralda (Seccional Risaralda) allowed a judge in Belén de Umbría to sentence Robinson Andrés Cataño Loaiza to 17 years and 10 months in prison, as responsible for aggravated homicide and manufacturing, trafficking or possession of firearms.

The Attorney General’s Office determined that the defendant was the one who shot a man with whom he was in the so-called Los Muros sector of Columbia neighborhood in Belén de Umbría on March 26. Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim died.

This decision became final.
