The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Diego Fernando Perea Márquez for his alleged participation in the murder of a man who tried to avoid a robbery of a woman on September 9 on a public street in Leticia (Amazonas).

A prosecutor assigned to the Sectional Office in Amazonas charged him with aggravated homicide and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.

According to the evidence collected, the victim tried to protect the woman when the arrested man, apparently, in the company of another person, used a firearm and shot him, causing his death.

The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges, and a judge imposed him a prison sentence.
