At the request of a prosecutor from the so-called Unidad de Vida (Life Unit) of the Sectional Office in Huila, a judge imposed a preventive detention measure in a prison against Royer Fernando Buendía, alias Fríjol; allegedly responsible for the attempted murder of a man at the beginning of March in Neiva (Huila).
According to the investigation, the defendant was traveling with another person on a motorcycle. Both allegedly intercepted the victim and attacked him with a firearm. For these incidents, the Office of the Attorney General charged him with attempted murder and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition (both aggravated).
During the incident, an exchange of gunfire occurred between the two alleged attackers. The events were allegedly due to a dispute over the sale of narcotics in Neiva. The injured victim was taken to a hospital, where he survived.
CTI officers, in coordination with the National Police, arrested ‘Fríjol’ during a search warrant carried out in Timanco neighborhood in Neiva.
The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges.
