At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Andrewin Reinaldo Noriega Prado, who allegedly participated in the attempted robbery of a jewelry located downtown the main city.

The facts took place on August 3 in the morning when several men on a motorcycle, apparently, arrived at a commercial establishment, and intimidated the security guard with firearms and finally shot him. A 16-year-old teenager, who was the owner’s relative, was injured and was taken to a hospital due to the severity of his injuries.

The community cornered Noriega Prado, allowing his arrest by the National Police. The other people involved in the case left the place.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged the suspect with aggravated homicide with attempt; illegal manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearms; and attempted qualified and aggravated theft. Noriega Prado did not plead guilty to the charges.
